Hen on Nest

This antique chocolate mold is a hen with lovely feather sitting on her nest/basket, 6 1/2″.  The mold was made by Eppelsheimer, New York, marked with the manufacturer’s trademark, number and matched #35 & #35.  This piece appears to have been repaired on the flange above the head, but the repair is under the tinning which suggests that it was repaired by Eppelsheimer.  This hen is suitable for molding chocolate.
